Canarias Stratoport is the first stratoport in Europe. A public infrastructure from which operate pseudo-satellites with multiple uses for citizens. A world scientific reference driven by the Technological Park of Fuerteventura.

The Challenge

Canarias Stratoport needed an impressive website, capable of conveying the relevance of a project like this. But it also wanted to be didactic, since communication with citizens is a priority, and useful for institutions and companies that want to request access to the airport.

An exciting brand

Institutional brands are often as entertaining as watching grass grow. Something similar happens with scientific brands. This is not one of those cases. The Fuerteventura Technology Park stratport could be a gray brand like so many others. But its managers knew the strategic importance of this project for Fuerteventura and the whole Canary Islands, something that this branding had to transmit.

We started the work by reformulating the name of the project to 'Canarias Stratoport'. A clear toponym, which will carry the name of the Islands all over the world, accompanied by the name of the infrastructure: the stratoport.

We sent to the stratosphere the renders that were used so far to focus on the most exciting element of the project: the sky. The stratport is the necessary infrastructure for drones to take to the sky and perform research, environmental, rescue and many other tasks. A bold and forward-looking task.

With the colors of the sky in our palette, we designed an isotype based on the silhouette of the airport on the arid terrain of Fuerteventura. A symbol of the project that becomes a virtuous circle in the direction of progress.

The result is an innovative brand for an innovative project. Able to transmit both the relevance of the airport for the Canary Islands society and the scientific knowledge of its managers.

The sky as an integrating element

For the development of the web site we continue to develop the sky as the main design element. Let's propose a hero section without a single render, but with suggestive images of the sky where the pseudo-satellites arrive. 

A representation of how Canarias Stratoport fulfills the age-old ambition of reaching for the sky.

In the rest of the home page we propose different didactic sections that help the user to understand the relevance of the project. Meanwhile, the rest of the website is oriented to conversion, as both institutions and companies can submit projects that require the use of the airport.
