History made uniform
Mamula Island is a five-star hotel located on the Adriatic Sea, at the entrance to Kotor Bay, Montenegro. Situated on an island declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the project balances contemporary luxury with the preservation of an enclave steeped in history, now transformed into an exclusive destination with rooms, a holistic spa, and high-end dining.

The Challenge

The challenge was to elevate the brand experience through uniformity, creating an exclusive design capable of conveying luxury, history, and local culture. The uniform had to dialogue with the hotel's architecture and the unique character of the place, while adapting to climatic needs, the different spaces of the hotel, and the diversity of ranks and functions.

The project is approached from a perspective deeply connected to the location. The design draws on the local culture of Montenegro and the hotel's own architecture, working with relaxed silhouettes, neutral colors, and a timeless aesthetic that reinforces the feeling of calm and exclusivity.

The approach balances functionality and narrative: garments designed for real use in a demanding environment, without sacrificing the historical character and level of sophistication that defines the Mamula Island experience. The overlapping layers and carefully integrated details allow for a coherent image to be constructed throughout all areas of the hotel.

A collection that dialogues with strength

The collection ranges from front office to operational and service teams, adapting to each role without losing visual consistency. Mandarin collar shirts, polo shirts, and naturally inspired trousers coexist with iconic pieces such as kimonos and vests, which become distinctive elements of the project.

The design incorporates details inspired by local culture—gold finishes and decorative fastenings—alongside fine fabrics reminiscent of linen, specifically selected to ensure durability and ease of use on a daily basis. For catering teams, a sarong apron has been introduced to create a sense of closeness and enhance the service experience.

The color palette is drawn directly from the hotel's visual universe, from its graphic identity to the tones of its architecture, ensuring a natural integration between space, equipment, and experience. The result is a collection that reinforces the uniqueness of Mamula Island, elevates the perception of exclusivity, and accompanies guests from the first point of contact, making uniformity an essential part of the island's narrative.
